Families of the martyrs: The Act against Thaci and Wessel - Serious and Unrighteous

Family of the country's martyrs, who fell during the liberation war, say the indictment filed by the Special Prosecutor for the country's president, and the PDK chairman, is unacceptable. These charges for Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselin, according to them, are heavy and fabricated by persons who do not want the good for Kosovo. Meanwhile, voicing doubt that these are linked to the exact time it is on the verge, finalising dialogue with Serbia.

The brother of two Kosovo heroes, Bahri Fazliu's Fahri and Fazliou, still lives in the apartment where he had served for illegal meetings by many activists who served in the Kosovo liberation war since 1982.

At this residence Fadil Fazliu remembers that Hashim Thaci and Kadri Wessel, both of whom as affluent friends, allegedly responsible for war crimes, also came to town.

A base that has served from 825 until the illegals, people organised for Kosovo's liberation. This was Fadil Vataj, and it was Africa Dzitia, and it was Fahri Fazliu, the Lapi Ceta we told him, and Hashim Thaci was being charged today, and Kadri Wessel. They've often been in meetings, especially with Bahriun. Hashim and Kadri were also in this house. All this liberation activity, and today you're accused of such an activity as we've done by the Special Court, is unfair”, Fazliu shows.

Fadil tells Kosovo that such accusations are serious for all martyrs and activists, which he adds the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army has been a high ideal war.

And we've come a long way with them. The reason we met with them was Africa Gittia and Fahri Fazliu, who had reports with them and recognized them. The charge brought by the Special Court is not good, especially for the relatives of the martyrs but also for our activists. It's an unfair accusation. To accuse activists who act, to fight for the country's liberation, and not to accuse the conquered ones who have occupied us for years, one of them during the Kosovo liberation war, which has been a war of high ideal”, he relates.

Fadhil, who is the brother of Bahriu and Fazliu, both these national heroes, says that comparing the conqueror with the conquered one is severe. This indictment, filed by the Special Prosecutor days ago, Fazliu says it came just when Kosovo is aiming to finalise dialogue with the Serbian side.

For Kosovo such an indictment is very serious and unfair. Because at the most critical moment, at the most crucial moment Kosovo has taken the path of finalising dialogue, the indictment has come. The incident may come two or three years ago, even though it is not fair to judge the Saviors, it may come, but it has not arrived”, Fazliu adds.

Fazliu says that innocent people are being accused of being delivered. As a family of martyrs, he expresses his regret over the charges that the Kosovo Liberation Army is citing.

These charges, I think, are fabricated by those who do not want good for the country, especially the Eulex, the European Community, the Special Court. But I'm afraid there's someone else, someone else who thinks to get rid of the political scene could even be a false witness. As we have heard, there are many witnesses, people have been waiting to testify to the war of Saviors”, Fazliu says, among other things.

On November 2nd, 1089, both Africa Dzitya and Fahri Fazliu were surrounded in the district of “The Sun Former”, and after a several-hour struggle with invading forces, writes “Center age”.

Today Fahri's name has been restored, Fadhil's son bears his name. The 29-year-old says he's proud of this, even though he hasn't recognized his uncle, believes in the pure fight of Fahri, and his fellow fighters.

I'm proud of the name I've kept, I haven't known the Fahriu, I've been bearing the name in 1 year and three months. I was born and given the name of the Fahriu Witness. I've heard about the history, the flow, the war they had here on the Sun Coast, we've been surrounded, I've heard from mother, aunt, family... (07:59) We as a family of martyrs feel very bad, it's a pity why it happens for Fahri's collaborators in this case, as is current President Hashim Thaci, head of Kadri Wessel's PDK, and many other collaborators. We've been through these gross charges”, he says.

News of the establishment of the charges, President Hashim Thaci received it as he was traveling towards Washington for a meeting with the Serb party at the White House. His participation in this meeting was cancelled by the president.
