On Thursday (04 June, 2020) Serbian police have arrested eight people in the Presevo municipality under suspicion of misusing public money.

News of Klan Kosova has confirmed Albanian Democratic Party Chairman Ragmi Mustafa, who has stressed that five of the eight arrested are collaborators of Presevo Mayor Shqim Arifi.

There are eight arrests, one is right in the president's cabinet and is deputy chairman of his party. Two are from municipal administration. Another is budget and finance chief”.

“They are accused of corruption in a project dealing with children's park, for which Haradinaj government has donated 100,000 euros to”.

Mustafa adds that the other three detainees are Serbs and that the same have been arrested for misuse of money in the same project.

He has demanded from the Kosovo government that in cases when given money for the Presevo Valley, they be checked in order not to be misused.

When given money for the Valley, they are also checked and not left in the hands of the perrapaz to steal it and misuse”.
