In the last three days in Kosovo, 160 cases of people infected with COVID-19 have been recorded, while 32 persons have recovered. And two infected persons have lost their lives in the last two days.
The alarming increase in the number of coronavirus affected in the last three days, according to the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo, is disturbing and shows the deterioration of the epidemiological situation at risk of going to the loss of control.
IK The KPS says that since the relief of measures for several activities has begun, we have traced new cases of COVID-19 adding to the risk of outbreaks of new epidemic sites in several Kosovo municipalities and to institutions and branches of the economy, due to the lack of distance and no wearing masks.
Keeping in mind that in the last week, we have an increase in positive cases that are in intensity compared to mid-April, and we have cases in public and private organizations, like Kosovo Post, KEK, KEDS, Art Gallery, banking, health institutions, agencies, commercial companies and private businesses, we recommend the Health Ministry close the sectors where there are positive cases and all their positive cases and contacts to be kept in property, while MASCAVE's TAKE METET OBLIGATIVE!”, says the IKSHPK report.
On the The IKSHPK says that “these days see the increased flow of citizens' movement throughout Kosovo. This is dangerous behavior and ease of movement does not mean disrespecting the recommendations of the National Institute and the Ministry of Health to maintain physical distance and wear masks in public places”.
The care of some citizens during these movements and activities increases the risk of spreading the infection while the SARS-COV-2 virus is present and can thus overload the health system with unscheduled effects up to the explosion, which can pose a risk to the lives of citizens”.
“As a result of not wearing masks from you, honourable citizens, your health and other citizens are being jeopardised and the general epidemiological situation that is being largely controlled by teams of professionals of the National Institute” is getting worse.
Based on this, the National Institute of Public Health and the Ministry of Health recommends that rigorously respect protective measures, according to the plan for facilitating measures meaning continuing to implement further recommendations.
Since the spread of pandemic, 1,486 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Kosovo, while healing 1,183 and dead 33.
