Known tennis player arrested his wife in front of the child

The renowned Georgian tennis player, Nikoloz Basilasvili, has recently been arrested by police for violence against his former wife.

Georgian media report that the tennis star has been arrested on May 22nd and faces charges of domestic violence and is soon expected to be handed over for a sentence in his direction.

The attack on his ex-wife is said to have been carried out in the presence of a minor, thought to have been their child.

Despite media reporting and the arrest of Basilasvili, his lawyer has denied all charges.
