Political analyst Ramush Tahiri has said that following last night's Constitutional Court decision, Vetevendosje Movement remains only to respect and implement that decision.
Tahiri said that this political subject already has no legal opportunity, as the Court's decision is final.
There's no legal opportunity already, nothing I can do. The Constitutional Court's decision is final -- all citizens of Kosovo -- all political parties and institutions only have to implement.
So there's no other possibility and it's good that it has to be applied because the Constitutional Court is final responsibility in explaining and interpreting the Constitution”, he said.
While, in terms of sending this Constitutional Court decision to the Venice Commission, Tahiri said there will be no kind of effect.
According to him, this commission is not part of the internal affairs of the Republic of Kosovo.
“I don't know whether government or Vetevendosje will send the decision to the Venice Commission, as the chairman of Vetevendosje is also prime minister and is acting as one at a time as other.
In the Constitutional Court, Kurti has gone as chairman of the Vetevendosje Movement, the Court decides whether the first or third party or the parliamentary majority is entitled to no government decision. The letter President Hashim Thaci has sent to him as Vetevendosje leader, not as prime minister. At the Venice Commission, this one is willing to go as prime minister, does not relate to each other, and has nothing to do with it.
Even Vencia's decision, without prejudice, but it's not in internal affairs, and here is that Kurt and the others don't understand. That's a very simple principle. Should a minority or a majority form a government? Worldwide in the parliamentary republic, it forms the majority. It is not the winner that has emerged the first party, but the parliamentary majority. MPs make government, the Assembly makes government”, he said.
Political analyst Tahiri for IndexOnline has said the incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, is trying through complaints and protests to extend his mandate.
Tahiri added that the protests cannot change Government, only to provoke it.
“Albin Kurti does not know in the quality of prime minister or Vetevendosje leader is wanting to buy time with complaints, even for the Constitutional Court, to extend Government as prime minister, but the government is now the minority government, the dismissed Government. Albin Kurti does not need any longer with the intention of protesting because the protest does not change Government, it could potentially provoke Government, not bring down any other Government. If someone comes to power by violence then democracy has died”, he said.
Otherwise, last night, the Constitutional Court has announced the ruling in favour of President Hashim Thaci's decree for the candidacy of Avdullah Hoti as the next prime minister of the Kosovo government.
