"Life in Sweden is neither normal, but it is neither disturbing. We have explained to people what sickness is and how they should be protected and respect the masses. People aren't stupid anywhere if you tell them what's good for them, and if you explain it to them, they'll listen to you,” says Gisecke.

“While most do what you recommend, that's good. There may be 100 per cent, but 90 per cent are enough,” he said.

He still believes that the fear of coronary is exaggerated because very few people become seriously ill, and the vast majority have mild symptoms or none of them.

Gisecke expects that because of this approach, a large part of the population will gain immunity in Sweden by autumn and that there will be no increase in the number of patients.

We expect the virus to be present during the summer, but we will not have a second wave in the fall, because we will have collective immunity by September,” says Giseke.

Although the Swedish model is perceived as totally insensitive and unrealistic because in some way the most sensitive part of the population is sacrificed, the elderly, the weak, and the sick, Gesseke does not agree.

“People will die in other countries as well, but the big problem is that no country has prepared itself well to protect the elderly, and infection has spread to the homes of elders everywhere”, he said.

Gisecke claims the same approach as in Sweden was proposed by experts in Norway and Denmark, but there, politicians decided to adopt the majority model and introduced a complete impasse.

Swedish expert says that in the event of a second wave, no one should declare quarantine.

He believes the epidemic will end by Christmas and that vaccines, when released, will be in vain.
