They said that this approach needs to be tested more, but it may present another opportunity to treat the infected with Ovid-19. For now, the only authorized treatment is the Remdesivir drug, which also affects the duration of the disease, but in the market there is a lack of it.
Dr. Kwok-Yung Yen from Hong Kong University and his colleagues tested the combination of anti-use drugs HIV, Ritonavir, Lopannivir, and Ribavir, along with a drug used against multiple sclerosis called beta interfers.
Patients involved in the study had mild and medium symptoms and were treated within seven days of confirmation as infected. Some doctors believe that treating patients earlier during the infection may be better.
The team of scientists gave a group of patients only combination of drugs against HIV, while another group combines these drugs, Ribavirin and interferon beta, writes “CNN”, Report Express.
Patients who took the second combination got negative for the Coronavirus on average seven days after the infection. Those who received the first combination were healed on average after 12 days.
