The PDK's Idrizi: Abuse and discrimination at quarantine centre, people with political connections are being released prematurely

The Democratic Party of Kosovo has denounced a series of cases of repatriated citizens who, thanks to party licenses, ties to power, or for other reasons, have not been placed in quarantine but have been released prematurely. These cases speak of an abusive, irresponsible and discriminated against Kosovo citizens. PDK MP Valdete [...]
PDK MP Valdete Idrizi, at a media conference, has said that human rights in quarantine are being violated, and should start investigations into violations as soon as possible.
This is her full statement:
The tragic case of Agon Musliu's suicide, the suspicious circumstances that led to this event, and the serious facts released by the media two over the past few days, testify that quarantine at the Student Centre in Pristina of our repatriated citizens is becoming abusive, irresponsible, discriminated, and negligent.
Karantina represents a temporary restriction on the freedom of movement of innocent individuals who may have been exposed to infection. This means that the state, which is being deprived of freedom, is responsible for these citizens during quarantine and has to guarantee equal and dignified treatment, good living conditions and adequate health care. But there is no longer any doubt that quarantine management at the Student Centre by the Ministry of Health and Home Affairs has failed severely. New concrete new information is coming to the Democratic Party of Kosovo day for the objective and uneven treatment of citizens during quarantine management.
We're mentioning a few cases, always maintaining their privacy and personal data. The guy with the initials B.H. has been released from quarantine because he has been deliberately forged age on the lists of repatriated travelers, marking as 70 years old, while he is actually 35 years old. Similarly, the person with the initials is suspected. S, the daughter of a prominent businessman who is believed to be a supporter of Vetevendosje's financing, has not been held at all in quarantine, as claimed, because of his connections and intervention.
Another middle-aged citizen, with the initial K.D. Coming from Germany last week, he was released because of chains and has not remained in quarantine. Unfortunately, the list is very long and these are concrete facts for the privilege of political militants with party booklets; for citizens who have attempted quarantine by counterfeiting personal data; being sold as sick or quarantined who were secretly released prematurely. During yesterday, there has been disappointment with quarantined citizens who are revolting over living conditions as well as the abusive way with which many quarantined citizens are being released prematurely or privileged to avoid quarantine.
Sadly, although eight weeks have passed since the beginning of Kosovo's pandemic, conditions have not improved, capacities have not increased, while quarantine management has been fully degraded. The outgoing Kosovo government stands much worse than neighbouring countries in terms of quarantine measures. F
Our employees have created quarantine capacities that are many times larger than Kosovo by contracting many hotels that offer more suitable and acceptable conditions for the isolation of the repatriated. The Democratic Party of Kosovo calls for the immediate halting of these abuses and abuses that not only violate the law but may even endanger public health.
Therefore, it calls on the prosecution to initiate investigation into the current administration of quarantine at the Student Centre. This investigation should be as transparent, professional and politically undisputed as possible. This is possible when those in quarantine management today such as Ministers Arben Vitita and Jelal Svecla have resigned, paving the way for investigations of these human rights violations and violations.
