The European Union, with which the prime minister was listed in his resignation, Albin Kurti, seems to have turned his back on the latter immediately. Kurti has not received an invitation from them to become part of tomorrow's EU summit with the Western Balkans in Zagreb. The EU at this summit has invited Kosovo President Hashim Thaci.
The prime minister in his resignation prided himself on having European support for his actions as he went against the United States of America, especially when the dialogue was discussed. However, Kurt's romance with the European Union seems to be coming to an end.
The lack of an invitation to attend even Kurt as speaker at the Zagreb Summit, to be held tomorrow through a video link. Most of the region's states in this summit will be represented by the prime ministers of the respective countries, while that will not happen to Kosovo.
Zagreb as the host of the EU presidency has invited President Thaci to attend this summit.
This is already confirmed on the agenda, which has been made public in official channels.
Sources of the news.net within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirm that Minister Konjufca and Kurti advisers have put constant pressure on organisers to secure the prime minister's invitation to resignation, but this attempt has resulted in unsuccessful.
With radical attitudes and unconstitutional acts, Kurt seems to have managed to alienate his only remaining allies after confronting the US.
Also, another signal came from the Kosovo rapporteur for the Council of Europe, Peter Beyer, who has talked about developments in Kosovo. Beyer has made clear the request to respect the Constitution and act in the interest of citizens, alluding to the unconstitutional actions of Kurti Government.
I request from those who have political responsibility in Kosovo, and even in the judiciary, to act exclusively in the interest of their citizens and in accordance with the Kosovo Constitution. I trust everyone in Pristina who is directed through the rule of law and ensures proportion in relation to all necessary measures for confronting the current pandemic and political crisis, always in accordance with ensuring the standards of the European Convention for Human Rights, which is part of the local legal system”, Beyer has declared.
In a few days of its rule, the Kurti Government has twice violated the Constitution of Kosovo in terms of human rights guaranteed with the International Convention, which also refers to the Constitution of Kosovo. But the Kurti Government has also violated parliamentary order, trying to limit MPs' work, such as MP Pacolli's case, even threatening him with arrests and refusing the role of the Assembly in imposing measures to prevent the pandemic causing COVID-19. /Lajmi.net/
