Chinese authorities have imposed a travel ban and a state of emergency in two cities in northern China, due to new cases of coronary infection, which have caused concern that the second wave of the epidemic has begun to spread.
At least five new cases were confirmed yesterday in Wuhan, the epithet of the epidemic from which the virus began to spread.
Authorities in the town of Jilin, about 1,800 miles [1,800 km] from Wuhan, announced new travel bans after six new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed Tuesday, five of which came from the nearby town of Shulan.
Authorities in Shulan, a town of about 700,000 people, imposed urgent measures at a more restrictive level over the weekend, as 14 new cases were confirmed just seven days after official Beijing reported that the risk rate was low in all Chinese provinces, Kosovas broadcast.
