Nicklas Bendtner's life outside the field continues to surprise, even as the player has been without a team for months and seems a step away from the retreat. The former Arsenal striker has confessed one of his dark moments during a Danish reality show: “I've played a lot of poker in my life. I've often played against professionals since I was 19. Hard to count, but I would say about 6m euros.
I wouldn't say I had a problem with the game of fate, I've always been able to control it. However, one night in London, things got out of control and could have ended very badly...”
Amid beatings with friends of fines for drunk driving, Bendtner's career has been marked by contractive episodes and even more so that memory is left for them than field action. In 2018 the Danish man was sentenced to 50 days in prison after attacking a taxi driver, breaking his jaw.
