Pompeo added that there is no reason to doubt the position of American intelligence that the Coronavirus was not created by humans and that the virus had not been genetically modified.
He said the Chinese side does not allow access to important information and that this is not the first time the world has been exposed to viruses because of what he described as “failures in the operation of Chinese labs”.
