Wessel calls on parties to vote tomorrow on the 320 million PDK package: Unity for Citizens

The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Kadri Veselin, in an authorial writing has called on parties to vote on the 320-million Emergency Pacon proposed by his party, Veselin says that besides the COVID-19 virus, the state should focus on the socio-economic consequences it says could be fatal. [...]
Wessel says that besides the COVID-19 virus, the state should also focus on the socio-economic consequences it says can be fatal.
Header According to economic institutions and experts dealing with economic issues, Kosovo is losing over 10m euros every day, says PDK.
This is the complete scripture of Wessel without interference:
Unity for Citizens
The danger that we're facing as a society, at this time of pandemic, is very dimensional, and this is where we all have to be rational in our meeting with the situation caused by David-19.
In addition to health concern for citizens, our country should also focus on socioeconomic consequences which could be fatal unless proper preventive steps are taken immediately.
Already, the global economy is threatened by a major recession, much larger than that of the years.
Also, each day it becomes known that economic growth will drop sharply, up to 2-4 percent, while remittances will also decrease significantly.
Figurative institutions and experts dealing with economic issues say Kosovo is losing over 10m euros every day. Total loss so far stands at over 250m euros.
If our country is unwilling to take responsibility for intervention to save the country's economy, then 280 thousand private sector jobs will be jeopardised and hundreds of small and medium-sized enterprises will disappear. Producers, due to the contraction of the local and international economy, will lose the markets necessary for export of their products.
The truth is we're too late with economic measures.
The government's proposed measures are insufficient and half (the 170m-euro package), as well as contrary to the Kosovo Constitution and the law in force for public finance management.
We all know that only the Kosovo Assembly can adopt the budget, complement it and change it to the extent necessary, to save Kosovo's economy.
Viewing the battle with Covid-19 as the responsibility of all political parties, viewing our country's bid for economic stability as duty and operation, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has made its proposal for the 320m-euro package, with three safe sources, not jeopardising macro-fiscal stability.
With the best goal of co-operation, and the duty of citizens, The PDK has invited all parties in the country to come together on April 14th to pass the package for our economic recovery, being open to possible fulfillments.
Kosovo citizens must always create prospects for a stable future, beyond any political gap and any electoral calculations.
Therefore, I invite all political parties to do what citizens expect them to do on April 14th.
It is neither the time nor the question that should divide us. On the contrary.
Kadri Wessel
Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman
