Rare coincidence, QKUK life saved by 21-year-old

Last night, a 21-year-old youth, in the early phase of the loss of speech ability, hand mobility and right foot, has been subjected to mechanical strokes or the removal of blood conceived in the brain artery mechanically, the second case in Kosovo.

This intervention was conducted at the Radicology Clinic, in collaboration with the Emergency Clinic, Neurology Clinic and Anastasia, where following the procedure carried out to the patient resulted in the immediate return of the missing limb mobility.

With this procedure, intermediate neuroradiology services are being stabilised at the Radiology Clinic, providing opportunities for Kosovo patients who have not had these services before.

For the implementation of these procedures, the health service system in Kosovo must be effective and the reaction should be bok «before the four-five-hour window passage from the beginning of the ischemic attack on the brain.
