The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has condemned major financial abuses and abuses of power by the Vetevendosje Movement under the cover of anti-commerce measures.
A media communiqué says the latest actions taken by the Vetevendosje Movement under Prizren's municipality government are clearly legal violations requiring the immediate commitment of the state prosecution to investigating corruption and misuse.
In recent days it has been published by the Prizren municipality run by the Vetevendosje Movement, the tender “Fourming with sanitary save material for the health care needs of Coronavirus in Prizren municipality” in the amount of 102.040 euros”.
In this contract, it is clear that prices are far higher than the normal prices existing in the free market today, as well as the prices of the same contracts products connected so far by the Ministry of Health and other municipalities in Kosovo, the communiques are said.
According to the PDK, what makes this contract even more suspicious and even more flagrant, is the fact that the company has won this tender “EKA TRADEING” S.P.K. which has a field activity that is not related to the materials involved in this tender and was established last year.
Moreover, The PDK considers this corrupt effort to be done by abusing an important issue for citizens such as health, and it is done right in the emergency period of the fight against Coronavirus.
This corrupting act is not a single case at all, rather, a tradition filled with corruption, abuse and misuse that the Vetevendosje Movement has built in Prizren municipality. In these years, Prizren chairman Mytaher Haskuka, who belongs to the party Movement Vetevendosje, has plunged the municipality into nepotism, crime and corruption. The party leading Prizren has incriminated the municipality, holding the highest number of officials with at least five directors who have had allegations of corruption”, concludes the communique.
