Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has written about the epidemiological situation in Kosovo.

Kurti writes that the province is good but that there is no room for relaxation.

He writes:

Dear citizens,

Thanks to the 15 April measures and the co-operation of a large majority of you, the growth rate in the number of cases has dropped below 4%. This means that infected citizens are transmitting the virus to far fewer people compared to the period before April 15th, when daily growth had reached 27%. Yesterday, for the first time since Coronavirus' arrival in Kosovo, the number of cures was twice as high as the number of new cases, with 35 persons healed. We have noted remarkable progress, progress that we are hoping to continue in the coming weeks.

However, as good news is for all of us, continuing this improvement depends not only on the government but also on all of us. We should not allow the present progress to relax us because it would risk reverse all this progress. The virus doesn't forgive anyone. Recent studies indicate that even in case of recovery, damage to the lung can be irreparable. Thus, we are facing a disease that affects the most important organs in our body; lung health is as vital as heart and brain health.

I have personally had a difficult experience with lung disease in February 2019. As Prime Minister, but as a citizen, I take Corona virus very seriously. It's not a simple flu, as some say. Let us continue to pay close attention to purity and distance so that our present sacrifices can have meaning and that the pandemic does not explode again by turning us to zero point.

We need cooperation not only of the majority, but of all. We have no way to win this battle, but together, all together, and victory is guaranteed.
