Acting Prime Minister of the Government of Kosovo Albin Kurti has described today's extraordinary session that has been invited by the Democratic Party of Kosovo to discuss aides to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.
Regarding such a VVA leader's statement, the renowned Kosovo lawyer, Dastid Pallaska, has reacted. He says a language such as Kurt's is used only in totalitarian systems, where he only applauds the Supreme Leader.
“The Assembly sections are “kota” only in totalitarian systems, where the role of the Parliament is limited to the applause of the Supreme Leader's absolute dictatorship and the height of his figure”, Pallaska said.
He further says that based on the Constitutional Order of the Republic of Kosovo, the work of the Parliament cannot be limited to any circumstances even in the event of the state of emergency declared.
“According to our constitutional order, the work of the Assembly cannot be banned and/or limited in any way under any circumstances, nor after declaring the state of emergency” has added Kosovo lawyer back.
Pallaska has also talked about the permits issued for MPs from the task leader of the Minister of Internal Affairs, saying such a thing is a blow to the constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo.
