Kosovo has entered the sixth week of COVID-19 pandemic. So far, there have been 480 corruption cases, where 12 of them have ended with fatality.
But infection, Valbon Krasniqi is expressing optimism on this pandemic.
In an interview for KosovoPress, Krasniqi has said that our country is already at the height of this pandemic and that the end of April will also mark the decline in the number of affected with this virus.
He even says that at the beginning of May, there may be relief of measures and a resumption of return to normality.
We are climateists and have carefully followed the situation across most states. What I've seen is that most states have reached peak or peak from week 4 to 8 after the outbreak began. We're now in the sixth week, and I personally think we're at the point, we're at the peak. But the small number of tests being applied in Kosovo probably does not allow the documentation of this situation. But personally I expect the end of April to find us with the drop in intensity of the infected, we never have the illusion that the pandemic will stop at once, but the end of April would have to mark a drop in the number of infected, so that then during the early days of May we could start getting rid of these measures. This is a forecast for someone perhaps overly optimistic, but if this virus is brought into the epidemiological characteristics that we have seen in other states, this could be also in Kosovo”, he says.
Based on statistics owned by the Infectious Clinic, but also the world's trends, Krasniqi suggests that about 1,800 of those affected with COVID-19 will pass the infection without having to lie in the hospital.
He claims that most of those who are in need of additional therapy are of a delayed age but also of those with other chronic diseases, stressing those with lung disease, cardiovascular disease, and sugar.
Our statistics are also on the trend with other global statistics. For example, out of 480 confirmed people with COVIED-19, somewhere less than 100 people needed to be admitted to the hospital. So about 1/4 of what matches that 70 to 80 percent of patients will pass infection in light shapes without having to lie in the clinic. Of those who are needing to lie in clinics and are developing more severe symptoms of the disease, the elderly are more predisposed to develop serious forms of the disease, and especially if they have other leading diseases, especially chronic lung obtrusions, cardiovascular disorders, or even sugar disease. All cases that have met with fatality at least had one or two other preliminary health conditions, he explains.
Infectiologist Krasniqi has indicated that by Saturday evening at the Infectious Clinic 53 patients affected by COVID-19, where most of them are stable.
The most heavily charged situation is six patients, while two continue to be in critical condition.
There are 53 patients today affected by COVID-19 who are being treated. The state of health of most of them is good, but 6 of them are in oxygen therapy and the situation is heavier than other patients. While two others are the intensive department of our clinic and their condition we appreciate as critical. So out of 53, 6, we have oxygen and two in intensive care”, he says.
The Infectious Clinic generally possesses good sanitation, but the doctor Krasniqi requires state institutions to make regular supplies with medical medicine, but also safeguards.
“We call on central health authorities to make regular supplies, because you see that we already have an increasing number of people affected with COVID-19 and this is extenuating material and requires regular and continuous supplies of our clinic as well as all other health institutions. As far as conditions are concerned, the Infectious Clinic has 126 beds, six of them in Intensive Care, and the rooms are all with two beds, so we have the maximum of two patients in one room and each room has its own sanitation. The conditions for the environment and the standard we live in Kosovo we think are relatively good”, he says.
Five nurses have been infected at the Infectious Clinic so far with COVID-19.
In total, though, this clinic has 22 doctors and about 70 nurses.
At the end of the infection, Krasniqi has asked all citizens to maintain distance, maintain purity, as it says prevention is the best weapon to defeat the coronary.
I'm her follower and we've worked hard on awareness and awareness of citizens to avoid unnecessary movements. The virus enters the human organism through the mucous of the mouth or the nose and eventually the conjunsions of the eyes. And if people cover their mouth and nose with a mask or beans and if we regularly disinfect our hands and wash them with water and soap then the chances of getting the infection are small. If we add to this the care of avoiding contact with other people and maintaining social distance, the likelihood is too minimal to obtain infection. We need to avoid contact with people we don't have family members”, he says..
In the IKSHPK, more than 24 hours are being contacted and monitored by all contact cases, as well as contact contacts by forcing them to self-insult and to seek medical assistance if they have symptoms.
To date, 5,828 contact cases have been contacted and monitored.
