Italian Prime Minister: On May 4th, relief of isolation measures begins

Italy's prime minister, Giuseppe Ctete, said on Tuesday that the isolation measures will start leaving May 4th, while by the end of this week the government's plan for gradual re-activation of the economy will be published.

Limitations of freedom of movement and economic activity in Italy have entered into force on 9 March and since then, most businesses have been closed and people have been forced to stay at home, writes “Reuters”.

I'd like to have the opportunity to say: to reopen everything. Right away. Let's start tomorrow morning. But such a decision would be irresponsible. It would affect the uncontrolled increase of cases and would waste all efforts we have made so far”, Prime Minister Cote wrote in his Facebook account.

“We must act on the basis of a national reopening plan, which takes into account the territorial features”, he added.

In contrast, treasure experts in Italy have predicted that the country's economy could shrink for about 8 percent this year because of the negative effect of restrictive measures against coronarys.

Cite said the ease of the measures would be made on the basis of a comprehensive study and on the basis of scientific data, not to meet the requirements of certain production categories or companies.
