Yesterday, the U.S. President ordered a message on US Twitter to destroy Iranian patrolships that interfere with American ones.
Salaam said today that they have issued an order to shoot American warships if they threaten Iranian ships.
The US Navy announced last week that 11 Iranian patrolships were approached by an American warship, which the navy estimated was a dangerous and disturbing “approach” in the Persian Gulf.
Americans said they used a variety of non-war means to warn Iranian ships, who left without incident, the AP reports.
In response, Trump said he had issued an order to destroy Iranian ships that threaten American ships.
Iran has called separately on Switzerland's ambassador, who represents US interests in Tehran, to complain about the threat of Trump, presented after several months of escalation of relations between the two states.
