Chatte Lowe is accustomed to ruining the world.

Participants in the Olympic Games full four times in high jump and bronze medal winner at the “Pejin 2008” Olympics, it was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, CNN writes.

It was unexpected, at least say.

I'm new, I'm healthy, I don't drink, I've never been drinking and I'm not a drug user. I've done everything right not to be in this position. It was a wrong concept, often leading to misdiagnosed, especially among young women”, says 36-year-old Lowe.

A wrong diagnosis made things worse.

A small grain of rice size took it to the doctor when she was 34.

The doctor considered him safe, Lowe says.

He told me that I don't want to see you for six years, until you're 40 years, 18x0...

Fortunately, as an olympist she can monitor her body, as if it were a well - maintained car.

Lowe says he felt that the beans were growing every day, something he described as frightening.

After 11 months she asked for a second opinion and the sample was immediately sent for biopsy.

It was found that she had a form of breast cancer that is very aggressive and grows very rapidly - a form that affects females most from West Africa.

If cancer had been diagnosed the first time it was in a doctor, it would only take intervention and radiation.

Lowe, however, had to undergo an amputation of two breasts and also of chemotherapy sessions in 2019.

I just say the only thing I'd like to do is not say, "Definly, there's nothing wrong" ”, Lowe said about the first doctor.

She says that the treatment has been successful and doctors have told her there are no signs for other cancer cells.

However, her body is still recovering from chemotherapy that has weakened her immune system.

The body explosion complicates the situation for Lowen.
Because of the weaker immune system, it enters among endangered persons, something Lowe says is not comfortable, but it opens your eyes.

Despite serious health concerns, Lowe has been determined to compete at the Olympic Games even if held this year.

I would have been scared, and I would have had other concerns that other athletes don't have”, she said.

But with the Olympics postponed until the summer of 2021, the high - jump athlete is more determined than ever to attend.

In 2008, Lowe finished his sixth high - jump Olympic Games, but he was later raised to the bronze medal after three athletes who had completed before him tested positive for doping.

Lowe wants to use the platform offered to increase awareness of breast cancer.

More than 42,000 females are expected to die from breast cancer in the US this year, according to data from the American Cancer Society.

In 2018, there were more and two million new breast cancer cases worldwide.

Researchers say early discovery increases the likelihood of survival. Lowe hopes that, by increasing awareness, it will help others.

As for the Olympics, Lowe says the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has made the right decision to postpone the event.

However, she knows what influence the sport can have.

“Sportsmen dedicate themselves to the Olympics. Imagine if you were on some rigorous diet and told yourself that you could continue until that date. And then you have to do this for another year, it's going to be very difficult”, Lowe said.

Lowe has spoken to other athletes who are not sure if they're going out to compete in Tokyo next year, adding that it is currently very tiring.

It compares the impact COVID-19 has had on athletes around the world to her experience with breast cancer.

You're at a height of physical health. You dream of going to Olympic Games, racing on the world stage, representing your country, your family, your sport, and all of a sudden, taking this option of”, says Lowe.

After training for the Olympics, the American is also raising three children.

She is now also a breast cancer survivor, determined to support others and to increase awareness of the disease.

She's looking to find positive things throughout the situation, which has been created by the pandemic in recent months.

We're all together. All are concerned about the world's welfare and the health of the world. Everyone must participate in this process to ensure that our world is healthy. I think the Tokyo Olympics will be held at a time of peace, at a time of celebration, and I hope, at a time to keep in mind that we all became together as one to save the world”, Lowe says.
