AKR ready to enter coalition with LDK

Two days ago, the Democratic League of Kosovo has indicated that the will of this party's General Council exists for taking over the mandate to form the government in a possible coalition with the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, the Social Democrat Initiative, the New Kosovo Alliance and parties representing non-communal communities in the Assembly.

Following the LDK statement, ready to contribute to the formation of the government, the New Kosovo Alliance has indicated.

AKR Secretary General Vesel Makolli has said that in the situation in which the country is located, no one has the right to block government formation.

“The AKR always has the interest of the state before all. The site is located in an almost institutional vacuum. We have the situation of the COVID-10 flu pandemic, which has engulfed the world, so the Government has to undertake and initiate many decisions and legislative procedures for which there are no competencies, as it is Government removed from the Parliament with the absolute majority of votes. Why we came to this is another question which the ruling coalition had to answer. In view of all of this, and especially the overall interest, a comprehensive solution should be made to the reform legislation and Constitution”, he said.

Makolli claimed that all the status and opposition parties should put aside their interests and resentment to get out of this situation.

No one has the right to block actions to form the Conform Constitution Government. We have voted this Government by setting a cooperative example when it's the interests of the state in question. The same thing we will do now, we will contribute to the formation of the Government, as we see it necessary and for the major interests of the citizens of Kosovo”, Makolli said of Telegrafi.

Asked whether there is any AKR condition to be a part of the government, Makoli confirmed that no one should be making any decisions in this situation.

“If there are mandated to form the government, we will make our contribution to forming the Government, it is understood to be legislative rules and the Constitution. No party that will become part of the evental government, in this situation we are faced with should be subjected to maximum conditions, or this situation should not be misused to seek something, which is not shared with interparty reality. Kosovo should have it above all”, Makolli stressed.

Otherwise, after the collapse of the Kurti Government, President Thaci has consulted with party leaders, and then has asked the Vetevendosje Movement to propose the mandate for forming the government, despite three letters Thaci sent to the LVV, there has still been no answer to the mandate's name.
