Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has said that the Kurti Government has violated a host of Kushetute articles with measures taken, warned by tomorrow.
The decision to limit the free movement of citizens represents deviations from rights guaranteed by the Constitutions.
Restriction of the movement can only be done with extraordinary situation and a state of emergency, and only the Kosovo Assembly declares.
Neither government nor institutions have a mandate to deny citizens fundamental freedoms and rights.
The government Kurti has violated a host of provisions of the Kosovo Constitution, Article 56 of the Constitution.
To date, the prime minister and the government have said the situation is under control in the framework. The government's decision today is anti-unconstitutional, citizens are not obliged to respect the unconstitutional decisions and no one can condemn them for that. Neither the Kosovo police nor the security organs should enforce this government's anti-conditional decision because they commit criminal acts.”, he has said.
