Half of the patients COVID 19 registered in the study conducted in the province of Hubei, China, presented digestive symptoms, such as diarrhea and anorexia, and cited it as their main complaint.

In the rapid spread of Coronavirus worldwide, researchers have found that diarrhea was a remarkable symptom among half of the patients with COVID 19 during the outbreak in Wwan, China.

The study is published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology, conducted by researchers from the Wuhan Medical Treatment Group for COVID 19.

According to researchers, nearly half of the patients COVID 19 registered in the study conducted in Hubei province of China presented digestive symptoms, such as diarrhea and anorexia, and quoted him as their main complaint.

“The doctors must accept that symptoms of digestive treatment, such as diarrhea, may be a representational feature of COVIID 19 and that the suspect index may need to rise earlier in patients at risk of showing digestive symptoms instead of expecting respiratory symptoms”, researchers said.

Patients involved in the study were taken from three hospitals between January 18th and February 28th. All patients confirmed by RT- The real-time PCR was tested for clinical characteristics, laboratory data and treatment. The data was forwarded until March 5th.

Overall, 204 patients were tested for the current study, according to researchers.

Average age was 54.9. In total, 48.5 percent are presented in hospital with symptoms of training as their main complaint.

Patients who experienced symptoms of treatment had a variety of manifestations, including anorexia (83.8 percent), diarrhea (29.3 percent), vomiting (0.08 percent), and stomach pain (0.4 percent), the study says.

According to researchers, as the severity of the disease increased, symptoms of treatment became more pronounced.
