Kosovo Economic Ode Chairman Berat Rukiqi said we have 10m euros in damage to daily bases in the country due to the COVID-19 situation.
This is extremely much for our economy if it lasts up to 3 months that are roughly 1 billion euros in damage to the country's economy, which is almost 1/7 of GDP”, he said.
Rukiqi also cited other effects on GDP, and according to recent estimates economic growth of 4.5%, in the most optimistic version it will drop to 2.6%, while according to him, there are other estimates that it will be 1.5%.
For a small economy like Kosovo that is limited to resources, he said it is extremely problematic.
Rukiqi mentioned there is a drop in circulation by 20% in the construction and production sector.
