So far, 19 cases have been confirmed in Kosovo, but doctors have said the number will increase steadily.

However, another political struggle was highlighted last night with the National Security Council meeting: Who would be the commander of the fight against Coronavirus?

President Hashim Thaci proposed the announcement of the extraordinary situation, but this was rejected by its Vetevendosje Movement and exhibitors, Including Veton Surroi, who implied that a proposal So it was that the president became a protagonist of this war, writes Periscope.

But, although arguments for or against the announcement of the extraordinary situation are completely legitimate, such logic of political protagonism seriously endangers the lives of Kosovo citizens in the time of Covid-19shi.

Why does this logic endanger the lives of citizens?

If the government and the presidency see in each other's actions just political benefits from such a thing, then non-confidence will inevitably lead to inaction.

More specifically, if Government Kurti decides to view the situation as Mr. Surroi, then the Vetevendosje party and perhaps the LDK will never act according to the Kosovo president's suggestions.

Even more concretely, if the situation in Kosovo deteriorates to the extent that the various procedures become a huge burden of action, and the extraordinary situation becomes necessary then the obstacle of immediate action can cost citizens of the country life.

Now is no time for political war. Now is the time for institutional co-ordination and action. Also, it's not time for Mr. Love's advice. Surroi, for whom Kurt himself once said that “dreams of Tito”. /Periscope
