National Council of Social Democrat Initiative Chairman Jakup Krasniqi, simultaneously has welcomed President Hashim Thaci's initiative to launch a dialogue with political parties to reach a consensus before the final agreement with Serbia.
Krasniqi in an interview for KosovoPress has said it is the last moment for political parties in Kosovo to articulate a unique position in terms of foreign policy that links with the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
Krasniqi, however, is skeptical of such a thing, since he has said that the same one had started during the Mustafa government, but that it had proved unsuccessful.
“It is the last moment and maybe we are late to create a common policy or position in terms of Kosovo's reports with Serbia. Recent Efforts were made at the time they were in the coalition PDK and LDK. Several meetings have been held between all political and opposition subjects. But I can't come to a common language and maybe the main fault then was the government Mustafa, so coalition. P DK-LDK. We were part of those talks and were for the joint position in the report of resolving the issue between Kosovo and Serbia. Perhaps in a measure even the VV then didn't quite agree to shape a common” position, he said.
The former head of the Parliament in this interview has said that the situation is already even more complicated and that Kosovo policy must be co-ordinated and united, as Ahtisaari's package has already opened and the way to go must be decided.
“We are currently 3-4 years later and we are in a very complicated situation, and now no one can say that President Ahtisaari's package has not opened and in such a situation political parties in Kosovo, especially the ruling coalition with the president, but also other opposition parties should sit down, not with conferences, but must form negotiating teams, talk and come to a conclusion. Do they eventually want to accept the opening of the Ahtisaari Pacos, which now has its consequences, or want to stay in those positions or in that offer that I consider Kosovo, even with the Ahtisaari document, and with its Constitution, has created a favourable position for minority communities in general and the Serb community in particular”, he has said.
Krasniqi thinks the main responsibility for Kosovo's position in relation to international relations falls on parties that are in power.
Former spokeswoman The KLA, it has said that since the time of Rambouilles, negotiations in Vienna, but those in Brussels had not expressed readiness to normalise relations with Kosovo.
The chairman of the National Council of Social Democrat Initiative, the tax imposed on Serbia, says it has supported it as a political, rather than an economic measure.
He says he personally opposes lifting the duty unconditionally, but says he supports any political parties' decision if they agree on another decision on this subject.
