Kelmendi: The supply of flour, intervention with state reserves has been difficult

After presenting the pandemic COVID-19, renowned businessman Ramiz Kelmendi is saying that businesses are facing increased demand for some basic articles needed for families in the country. So far, according to him, there is a shortage of flour, which has been reduced because of limiting the movement of goods to various states [...]

Kelmendi has called on institutions and walks to declare the state of emergency to get out of the crisis and reduce the current financial cost.

The “has currently lack of flour, while in other products we are in a phase of covering once-in-a-day demands... Coronavius is a regional, global epidemic. So all those countries that most affected have declared a state of emergency, in some form have attracted from the sale and limited the export of strategic products that Kosovo citizens need. They also decided not to free movement of citizens, only to transport goods. But even drivers who are moving through many firms around the world, Europe and the Balkans are not working. Therefore, export has stopped from various countries, which have limited export and we have nothing to bring goods to Kosovo. Then, the risk of rowing into quarantine has greatly increased the reduction of drivers who have been available. Of course, there is no room for panic, but there is always room for neglect for each family member to take care of the possibility of any show of certain shortages for a while, but no more than 45-60 days”, Kelmendi says, for Kosovas.

He has invited the government to begin intervening with state reserves in order to reduce panic in citizens and reduce the possibility of conveying coronarys.

So we don't have flour in progress. We've got flour coming over and over again, but it's a little bit more panicking. So in this case, I had used the opportunity to invite the Government of Kosovo to intervene from the state reserves, for which they are targeted, in order to reduce the panic in citizens, reduce the ability to carry the coronavrus because citizens, going to buy flour are unable to keep their distance, are not using protections under the direction of the World Health Organization. So it's presented as the waterway's access to the coronary transfer. The government had to co-operate with the malls and with all potential businessmen in order to cover the requirements that would not be what they are now”, he says.

The owner of the company “Elkos Group” is also appealing for the country to declare the state of emergency because the cost of spending will be smaller.

I am the country that is urgently in a state of emergency for weeks to stop the free movement of citizens who sometimes forget that we are endangered by the deadly and infectious virus for the entire population. The cost is much smaller, if the country is in a state of emergency, than if it remains in this situation, until we know how long it will be”, he declares.

He also spoke of the motion for the government's vote for confidence, Kurti, as he said there is no impact on the economy because the private sector and existing laws in power are enough for the private sector to move on its own path, which he thinks the political crisis has no impact at all.

The government's “Ration is political issue and there is no impact on Kosovo's economy except on some businesses that deal with tenders. Therefore, it should not be understood that the government's decline has impact on Kosovo's economy, especially in the private sector, Kelmendi declares.

While, the possibility of rising prices at this time, Kelmendi says the awareness of all businessmen is at the right level.

According to him, merchants are organized, they have carefully taken the suggestions and decisions of the government not to increase the prices of products for which there is no limit to import growth
