Istrefi at his slide in FBF has said Kosovo Telecom continues to be a leader in telecommunications services.
Now when we're marking the 20th anniversary, we continue to be leaders in providing telecommunications services, and for the first time since the existence of the mobile operator, we with our internal forces are able to maintain the network ourselves and do jobs that have once cost the company a lot of”, he wrote.
The chief executive chief has also written that there are strategies for further upgrade of Telekom.
I, as Chief Executive Officer together with my team, have made clear strategy to further establish the company and that our commitment will never be lacking and together we will come out”, he wrote.
His full record:
20 years of free travel
20 years ago, then Kosovo Post and Telecom workers, after a few months of intensive work, made it possible for the corporation to have its own mobile operator.
It was imperative that we, in that, join the world and have our mobile operator.
Many engineers at the time, who are still a very important part of Telekom, contributed their maximum contribution to release the country's first mobile phone signal.
At the end of February 2000, the final tests began to broadcast the signal, while in the first week of March of this year we also had our first customers.
Many investments over the years have been made by the company to keep up with consumer time and demand.
Initially, our biggest battle was to extend the mobile network across the country, and this was possible in 2008 when we covered with mobile networks over 98% of the inhabited territory.
This was not an easy battle at all, but it was successfully fulfilled by the maximum commitment of our employees.
Since then, as a company we've had constant decline and growth and investment in technology, all of this in an effort to build our capacities.
Even though public companies with constant trouble with shopping procedures, we've always managed to be one step ahead of our competition.
This ongoing approach has led us to reach 1.2 million consumers, even as a result of the work, engagement and delivery of quality services and the best prices in the market.
The relentless work of all staff has led us, like Telekom, for many years to be the biggest taxpayers in the country, and we have also allocated about 500m euros between the state of Kosovo, tools used by the government for capital projects.
The ongoing telecom has been a tremendous contributor to improving living conditions for all Kosovars.
Now when we're marking the 20th anniversary, we continue to be leaders in providing telecommunications services and for the first time since the existence of the mobile operator, we with our own internal strength are able to maintain the network ourselves and do jobs that once cost the company a lot.
Our constant dedication is to offer quality services, and with the best prices on the market, and that is what we're doing.
I, as chief executive chief together with my team, have made clear strategies to further establish the company and that our commitment will never be lacking and together we will emerge.
