Number increase to 33: Two new infected people from Malisevo and Gjilan

According to the institute, ten samples have been tested during today, of which unfortunately two proved positive.

One citizen is from the municipality of Gjilan, while the other from the municipality of Malisheva, Periskopi is present.

Both cases were contact with other patients already infected with coronarys in Kosovo.

Today with 22.03.2020 at the IKSHPK Medieval Microbiology lab with RT- The PCR, ten (10) suspicious samples of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and two (2) of them are positive.

Two of the positive cases are one with one settlement cases from the village of Vrapcic municipality of Gjilan, the female gender of 50, and the other with residence from the village of Domanek Malisheva municipality of male gender aged 53.

From the date 08.02,2020 to 22,03,20, at the Medieval Microbiology Laboratory in IKSHPK with the RT- The PCR, a total of 577 suspicious samples in the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been tested, and of them a total of thirty-three (33) cases have resulted in positive.

Globally, between December 31, 2019 and March 22, 2020, according to Worldometers, a total of 318,981 cases of COVID-19 and 13,685 cases of death were reported. The largest number of cases are reported by China (81.054), Italy (53.578), Spain (28.572), U.S. (27.151), Germany (23.974), Iran (21.638), France (14.459), Switzerland (7.225), United Kingdom (5.018), Netherlands (4.204), Austria (3.302), Belgium (3.401), Turkey (947), Greece (530), Slovenia (14), Croatia (235), Serbia (188 Macedonia north), and Albania (89).

By 22 March 2020, from EU countries/ AEE and the United Kingdom have reported these death cases: Italy (4.825), Spain (1.753), France (562), United Kingdom (244), Netherlands (179), Germany (93), Belgium (75), Greece (13), Denmark (13), Turkey (21), Austria (16), Luxembourg (8), Poland (7), Hungary (6), Bulgaria (3), Albania (2), Serbia (2), Croatia (1) northern Macedonia (1) and Slovenia (1).

In the IKSHPK in a continuous 24-hour period is being contacted and monitored by all case contacts, as well as contact contacts being forced to self-insult and seek medical assistance if they have symptoms. To date, 560 contacts of cases that have resulted in positive have been contacted and monitored.
