Clearwater Beach, in Florida, was filled with visitors who apparently have not noticed social distance conservation guidelines as part of efforts to prevent corruption from spreading.
Images of white sandy beaches off the western coast of Florisa Florida showed that people had massed out.
The main beaches on the eastern side of the peninsula were closed by the virus, but even there people had arrived, despite warnings.
There are more than 4,700 confirmed cases and 90 deaths from the virus in the United States.
Cities and states have flooded schools, restaurant bars and the more people's environments.
