South Korea has reported the lowest number of new coronary cases, as the infection rate peaked four weeks ago, boosting hope that Asia's worst explosion outside China may be decreasing, the BBC writes.
The country recorded 64 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, with a total of 8,961 infection and 111 deaths.
But health officials warn that this should not make them feel comfortable, saying the country still faces a long fight against infection.
Meanwhile, southern Europe is currently at the center of the pandemic.
Italy reported 651 new deaths Sunday, bringing the total there to 5.476, while Spain registered 394 deaths, while the total death to date is 1,720, Perscope records.
