Coronavirus precautionary measures, this is KSF plan

Three containers for the needs of medical teams at border points have been sought by the Kosovo Security Force, and securing the spaces that will be used for quarantine if the first affected case is identified. The former KFOR hospital in Prizren, the Vranidoll Asian Centre and the object of the Regional Institute of Public Health in Ferizaj are locations under consideration as suitable for quarantine.

The ministry of defence in Kosovo from today does not accept visitors, and meetings there will only be with special permission from the Minister and Commander of Force, following the assessment of the importance of the visit.

Added hygienic tools are located at the Defense Ministry facility until the staff has increased care by implementing the state plan in the company of precautionary measures against the coronary.

You may even enter the facility only with permission from the heads of the institution, since as a precautionary measure, they have interrupted all visits and meetings.

The defence ministry is part of two committees that have been established at the country level due to the situation created about the possible spread of corruption in Kosovo.

The KSF is ready to assist the country in logistics, while being asked to provide spaces that would be used as quarantined in case of need.

This is indicated by Kosova Prees, director of the Department of Medicine at the Ministry for the Kosovo Security Force, Colonel Gevdet Tahiraj,

On the committee we have discussed three locations, the first location is the object of the former German KFOR hospital in Prizren, the second object is the Center of Asylum in Vranidol, and the third object is an object of the Kosovo Regional Institute of Public Health in Ferizaj that we will visit that object and see the conditions closely how we can organise in case there is a system for quarantine <x0, he says.

While Wednesday, following the emergency committee's meeting, the KSF has been asked to make supplies of three containers, with the basic elements of an ambulance, at the border points, for the needs of medical teams serving there.

Although Kosovo has no one affected this virus, the executive has decided to take precautions by closing schools and universities by 27 March.

Within the measures the Government of Kosovo faces, there is also the ban on cultural-artistic activities in the country, and the closure of restaurants and establishments at 11:00.

COVID-19 has already included Europe, where in the region only in Kosovo and Montenegro have not yet been marked any affected cases.

This virus began spreading to China at the end of 2019 and has spread rapidly throughout the world, where over 100,000 people have so far been affected and over 4 thousand have died.
