Great Britain announced, after the virtual G20 summit, that it will increase its contribution to international efforts to find a vaccine for the new coronary by 210m pounds (about 230m euros).
“This British funding record will help find a vaccine for the world”, conservative Prime Minister Boris Johnson said.
I call on all G20 countries and governments worldwide to step up their efforts and help us overcome this” virus, he added.
In addition, the government announced a 63 million-pound fund to develop COVID-19 treatments and tests.
