Candidate of The PDK for MP in the October 6th 2019 elections, Blerim Latifi, has given his opinion in Facebook on recent political developments following the government's decision to restrict citizens' movement, which is considered anti-unconstitutional by several political operators.

Latif has in one way reasoned with Kurti Government's decision to restrict free movement as a precaution against the spread of coronary. But he also reasoned on the extraordinary situation demanded by President Thaci, writes Periscope.

These reasonings he makes in his opinion that the <x0 human being” is above “the constitution”. He bases this on a vague presentation of British philosopher John Lachch (John Locke), the first right to life.

He has also mentioned the intervention of NATO forces in Kosovo during the 1999 war, which allegedly violated the principle of Yugoslavia's sovereignty.

However, he has not mentioned many authoritarian regimes in the world that violate citizens' civil rights and freedoms just by being called into major dangers. Such was the Yugoslav communist system in Kosovo, and so was the Albanian communist system. /Periscope

Below you have his full status on Facebook:

Indeed, the constitution must be above anything - that is the foundation of democracy. But there is one thing about the constitution - human life! So when human life is collectively threatened, measures are made that limit the freedoms of citizens. The father of liberal constitutionalism, John Locke, clearly says: First the right to life, then freedom and property!

Let's not forget that, like today, 21 years ago, in the name of protecting human life, NATO came over the UN's “constitution” and bombed Serbia.
