The identity of the anonymous remains unknown to the public. In September 2018, he published an opinion in the New York Times, and in 2019 he published a book called “A Warner” (A warning).
President Trump, after that, called for an investigation by the Department of Justice for the New York Times.
Several prominent administration officials, including State Secretary Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Defence at the time Jim Mattis, have denied that there are “annim”.
According to the author, the attempt by a narrow circle of officials to remove Mr. Trump from the presidency was brought down to avoid a constitutional crisis.
