Trial of corruption against Netanyah to be held in March

In a brief statement, the court said Mr. Netanyah is expected to attend the opening session. On March 2nd, Israel will hold national elections, third in less than a year.
Opposition leader Benny Gantz says he will work to improve ties with the Democratic Party of the United States if he wins the national elections held next month. The former army chief of staff accused Prime Minister Netanyahu of ignoring relations with both parties, taking exclusive support from President Donald Trump's Republican Party in favour.
On the eve of the third national elections in less than 12 months, Mr. Netanyahu has stressed his relations with President Trump and has been accused of being hostile to the Democrats. Both Gantz and Netanyah have called for support from both parties for Israel in the United States. Pre-election polls show neither GANTZ nor Netanyah have clear chances of winning the parliamentary majority. / VOA/
