Standard deadline for application of political subjects

During the day today, they have submitted applications for certificates by the CEC, the Democratic League of Kosovo, the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

Information spokesman at the Central Election Commission Valmir Elezi has told of candidates of these three parties competing in the 15 March elections.

“The CEC reports it has completed the deadline for the application of political subjects that want to participate in the extraordinary elections for the mayor of Podujevo on 15 March 2020. The list of political subjects with candidates applying during this deadline (February 8th) is like the following: Kosovo's Democratic League with candidate Nedmi Rudari, Vetevendosje Movement with candidate Speed Buljaj and PDK with candidate Naim Fetah”, Elez said.

Elez said that after completing the deadline for application, the Office for Registeration of Political Party and Certification will review all these applications and submit to the CEC recommendations regarding the certificate.

“After completing the application period, the Office for Registeration of Political Partys and Certificate will review all these applications and then submit to the CEC recommendations regarding the certificate of any political subject. Under the operational plan adopted by the CEC through February 25th, the CEC concluded the process of certificate”, Elez said.

The election campaign in Podujevo begins on March 3rd and ends on March 13th.

These elections are organised after the election of Minister Agim Veliu's ministry, who was mayor of this municipality.
