By a vote of 51-49, the Republican-dominated Senate banned the Democrats' initiative to hear new witnesses as former National Security Councilman John Bolton.
John Bolton allegedly knows Donald Trump has pressured Ukrainian officials to investigate his political rival, Joe Biden.
These allegations have led the U.S. House of Representatives dominated by Democrats to officially accuse Trump of abuse of power and obstruction of the American Congress.
