The death rate of babies has declined at the Neonatology Clinic in QKUK. In 2018, 206 babies passed away, and a year later 169.
Dr. Gevdet Goynovci, who has shown this institution is a reference centre for all of Kosovo where babies are accepted from regional hospitals, private hospitals, etc.
According to him, there are many factors that may have contributed to the decline in infant mortality. One of these is the decline of babies born in gynecology, the number of premature babies, and the best hardware supply.
There may be many factors, we haven't studied in detail, in 2019 compared to the year 2018 there's also a drop in babies born at the Gynecological Obstetrical Clinic, from 10,422 babies who were in 2018, there are about 600 fewer babies in 2019. There is also a smaller number of premature babies”.
It could make a comparison, babies born under 1,000 grams is 10 less. So it too affects reduced mortality. It also affects 2019 to 2018 we have a better supply of equipment and we have recruited a number of nurses who also influence the growth of health services to improve their quality. Number of nurses based on O BSH, which has to take care of babies, should be two, while in Neonatology Clinic a nurse cares for five babies at least”, Gojnovci stressed.
