Although the state of Indonesia is close to China and awaits thousands of travelers each month, it has not been affected by the deadly virus.
Neighboring countries like Malaysia and the Philippines have confirmed that many have been infected in their countries.
Indonesian officials have tested 104 people, and it has been reported that even politicians there insist that the population is protected from prayers, transmits Telegrafi.
More than 75,000 people have been confirmed infected by coronavirus, almost all within China, while 2,013 people have died so far.
Indonesia is one of the last countries in East Asia without a virus, with Singapore, Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Cambodia confirming all cases affected by coronus.
Indonesia's health minister, Terawan Agus Puntrato, said at a recent press conference that the country's disease-free status was everything because of prayer.
The country, which has a population of 267 million, is 87 percent Muslim, 10 percent Christian, and 2 percent Hindu.
But scientists are skeptical about the claim of zero infections, because almost 100,000 people flew directly to the country from the town of Wuhan in November and December, Al Jazeera reports.
Indonesian officials are using thermal scans at airports to control people for fever marks.
