According to foreign media, Telegrafi, it is about evacuees who were brought to the hospital in Novi Sanzary, in the central region of Polta, where they will be held in quarantine for 14 days.
In this regard, President Wolfymyr Zelensky called on protesters to show sensitivity to them.
Ukraine's security service (SSU) said a false e-mail claiming to be from the Health Ministry falsely said some evacuated had contact with the virus.
SSU officials are now investigating visible fraud, a statement said.
Earlier Thursday, 45 Ukrainians and 27 foreign citizens flew from Wuhan to China, the stage of the deadly explosion, to Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine.
Six buses were then taken to the hospital in Novi Sanzary, where they were received by demonstrators ʹ lighting fire and throwing stones.
The country's health ministry said none of the passengers were ill.
Ukraine's diplomatic mission added that three Ukrainians and one Kazakhstan resident were left behind in China because they had reported feverish.
Prime Minister Olexey Honcharuk, Health Minister Zolana Skaletska and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov all travelled to the city to try and calm tensions.
