Halil Haklaj was pursued by the Yugoslav UDB, and in 1988, a court condemns him on charges of supplying guerrillas with illegal weapons and border crossings. The main link of the Haklaj brothers to the KLA was Major Ilir Konushevci, one of Ramush Haradinaj's closest associates.
The second son of the Haklaj family, Halili, was a member of the Labour Party and had infiltrated before 1990 by State Security for the creation of a Resistance Front in Kosovo. According to information, Halili has provided a meeting between the leader of the resistance organisation Mentor Kaci and Ramiz Alia.
Regarding the murder of Ilir Konushevci, and his connection to Haklaj, he spoke at Top Story, Haklaj's sister, Zylfije Haklaj.
“Fatmir had many societies with Ilir Konushevci, who has been one of the KLA's mains, has been the supplier. Haziri Mala has helped, The KLA, has helped KLA suppliers”, shows Zylfije Haklaj, Haklaj's sister.
Ilir Konushevci and Fatmir Haklajan, the veteran of KLA, Avni Ajjeti.
I've been drinking coffee before with Ilir and Fatmir Haklaj 4-5 times, and there's always been a collection rather than a possible weapon. The NLA”, shows Avni Ajjeti, in Top Channel.
It was May 9, 1998. Ilir Konushevci had taken the next arms shipment in Albania and was heading towards Kosovo. The truck leader was a soldier The KLA, while on their side, was also doctor Hazir Malaj, known as close ties to the Haklaj brothers. He was Arjan Malaj's father, executed by the rival Haklaj clan in February that year.
The truck was launched through the difficult axis Qafe Mountain-Fierese-Bajram Curri. As soon as you cross the village of Miliska, at the place called Portawa, the truck faces an ambush. Some heavily armed people open hail fire where Konushevci is severely injured as doctor Malaj escapes unhurt.
The driver receives minor injuries and is assured in a position of fire - fighting. One of the authors of the host remains seriously injured. At this moment, their group quickly retreats. They turn to Bayram Currie Hospital, where Agim Demiri arrives dead.
Dr. Haziri Malaj takes seriously injured Conusevci in his arms and walks off to seek help in Fierza's direction. After walking a few miles, the authors of the first attack had set a second ambush right here, which you see about two miles [3 km] from the Fierza hydropower plant.
And at this time Konushevci has been injured and Bislim Demiri and some others have again travelled to Miliskaya, dragged corpses”, Zilfije Haklaj points out.
On the other hand, Avni Ajeti says that Ilir Konushevci had applied the ways from above, which he believed had changed the agenda several times.
After some information we have, Ilir Konushevci has changed the agenda 2-3 times. How did Ilirti come from above? He did. In the afternoon, Ilir was definitely told that he should travel, and I don't know what to say”, says Ajjeti.
Ferrious Kalashnikov showers are poured out to physician Malaj and Konushevcit, and this time they were unable to react. They're dead on the spot. Crimeists drag their bodies and hide them under a bridge where they cover them with stones.
Bislim Demiri was charged by Haklaj as host of the host.
Haklaj's sister discovered for the first time in this interview that Konushevci had contact with Bislim Demiri. The reason is unknown, but is believed to be related to the creation of conditions for the transition of weapons towards Kosovo.
“Fatmir had advised him not to trust Bislim Demiri because he was related to Dragan, one of the most dangerous Serbs in Coranica, had sent much oil to Serbia against Kosovo and Bosnia. But he believed as much as he had given him his pistol, it is said that on that day Conushevci's pistol had shot Konushevcin”, Zylfije Haklaj, Haklaj's sister.
There is no doubt that in most cases we bought and that we were the same. Whoever offered weapons we have been forced and forced to communicate”, shows Avni Ajjeti, KLA vetran
The truth of Konushevci and Malaj's murder was never dawned by justice. Investigators failed to connect the Miliskaya event with Agim Demiri's corpse at the Bajram Curri hospital.
But the link managed to make Fatmir Haklaj herself that he had arrived at the scene. There was no doubt about it that Demiri was the organizer. The latter would be the very victim of revenge. On August 28th 1998, he was to be executed in Bajram Curri.
“We don't have the data Fatmir has made such an act, but even if he did it in the national range”, shows Zylfije Haklaj, Haklaj's sister.
