Among other things, the ministers agreed on the importance of the measures, which would allow authorities to identify travelers who may have had contact with infected persons abroad, as well as with anyone else who might be in danger, an issue highlighted by German Health Minister Jens Spahn.
They also called on the European Commission to help member states have enough protection equipment in case of shortages and to assess the risk of drug shortages due to the closure of production factories in China.
