Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca has reacted after the created situation regarding the news of Jamaica's recognition, which later emerged, that in fact, this state has not recognised us.
In his reaction, Konjufca says Ambassador Citaku has announced the foreign ministry's recognition. He says they are in constant contact with the US Embassy and that action will be taken in accordance with the responsibilities of each.
“Mbrame, Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the United States, Mrs. Vlora Citaku, through e-mail, has announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora for Jamaica recognition.
On the professional level, official information from an ambassador/eje, addressing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is considered a good act and considered to be such.
We are in constant contact with our U.S. Embassy, to clarify the situation.
As Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, after reviewing the situation, it will soon take action in accordance with the responsibilities of each”, writes Konjufca.
Presidency: The announcement of recognition by Jamaica officially came from Chitaku
The Republika president's office reacted after denying the news that Jamaica has recognised Kosovo's independence.
From the presidency, they say the announcement was officially received by Kosovo's ambassador to Washington, Vlora Citaku.
Citaku has also reportedly sent the same announcement to Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca.
The “Office of the president of the Republic of Kosovo was officially announced by Kosovo Ambassador to Washington Vlora Citaku for recognition by the state of Jamaica last night. The same announcement, the ambassador has sent her to the Office of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The President made this announcement public through his profile in Titter. For other information, pray to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”, says the BiH Presidency Information Office's response. /Periscope.
