After a two-hour jam on the bus, passengers were dropped and taken to quarantine at the bus station, while the driver was immediately taken to the hospital to examine the deadly virus.
The growing alert has already raised questions about whether European countries will have to close their borders, although the EU said today it was not planning to limit travel to the Schengen area at least for the moment.
Fears in Lyons came shortly after an Italian passenger plane were held in Mauritius because of fear of the virus, dozens of passengers from Lombardia and Venito, regions with the worst influence of the Coronavirus, were told to return home or be confined to quarantine.
40 of the 224 people on board eventually chose to return home to northern Italy, where 50,000 people were placed in their homes, schools were closed and activities outside the residences were suspended. So far, six victims from Coronavirus have been confirmed in Italy.
