Artificial intelligence cures people: She finds treatment five times faster

The British company Exledia and the pharmaceutical company Somimo Dainppon Pharma from Japan dared to do so. As the two companies commented, the drug will be used to treat patients suffering from obesity-compulsive disorders (OCD). While it takes at least five years in the traditional pharmaceutical industry to develop medicine, test and make it available, in the case of artificial intelligence in medicine, this is not the case. In all, it took AI only 12 months to prepare, which is five times faster, the Kosovo Press broadcasts.
Professor Andrew Hopkins of Exscientia told the BBC that “has proven artificial intelligence for diagnosing diseases in patients and analyzing seized data, but this is the first real step towards uncovering new drugs”.
He also stated that algorithms go through a billion decisions to find the right molecules, and find the new drug with extreme precision. The biggest advantage of these algorithms is that they are fully applicable to any other disease.
This drug will first be found in the testing phase in Japan, and if it is successful, testing will continue globally. Researchers are already working on the development of available drugs for treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases, and hope that by the end of the year, these drugs will reach the test stage.
Professor Hopkins believes artificial intelligence in medicine will make a big shift by the end of this decade, and will produce all the drugs, which means this method is extremely fast and accurate to detect drugs that help patients with different diseases.
