Stone - carved hieroglyphics suggest that the rulers of civilization may have conquered the kingdom ruled by King Midas, the legendary ancient ruler who is said to have had a golden touch.
An international team of researchers was working on an important archaeological dam in Ankara, when they stopped from a local farmer who had seen an unusual stone while working in his nearby field, writes Independent, translates Periscope.
The man described the large stone as filled with strange carvings, and this immediately surprised researchers.
My Michele Massa and I ran straight into the place, and we were looking at the stone in question,” James Osborn said.
We immediately saw it as ancient, and we also recognized the carving that was made there: it was in Louwian, used in the time of Bronz and Iron in this area. ”
Luwian was one of the oldest branches of Indo-European languages and was written in local hieroglyphics.
But then something even more important was understood to indicate that the message came from a king.
The stone was later sent to a local Turkish museum where it had been cleaned, photographed, and read about translation.
Later, it was found that the king had been called Mappu, the king of a kingdom for which the researchers had the idea of existence. /Periscope
