Kosovo police have reported on news.net, that in general, the month January has seen an increase in accidents and dead persons.
According to statistics in January 2019 there were seven fatal accidents where seven people lost their lives,
Meanwhile for the same period of time, Kosovo police have indicated that the number of fatal accidents has increased this year.
According to official Kosovo Police data, in the first month of this year there have been 10 fatal accidents, where unfortunately ten people have lost their lives, so three percent or 42.86 percent more than in January 2019.
On the other hand, there has been an increase in injuries. Since in January 2019 there were 348 bodily injuries and 654 people injured.
This number has marked growth this year and only in the first 31 days of 2020 have 441 injuries or 93 more than in the same period of last year and hurt were 857 persons, or 203 more or 31.04 percent.
Even the number of material damage accidents in January 2020 has increased.
According to official Kosovo Police statistics that have secured news.net, a total of 909 accidents with material damage or 92 more occurred this year, where 857 people were left injured or 203 more than the previous year.
In 2019 there were 817 injuries, and 654 people were left injured.
Always based on official data, in January of this year total, there have been 1,000 or 188 more, since in 2019 total accidents have been 1,000 and 172.
According to these reports, there has been an increase in the pronounced tickets.
Since 29 thousand and 422 tickets of traffic for various violations had been pronounced in January last year, this year in January, Kosovo Police, the Road Traffic Unit, have pronounced a total of 43 thousand and 979 tickets or 14 thousand and 557 tickets, respectively.
