“Congratulations on the modern, EU-funded crossing point, in Merdare, which is now fully staffed and functional. This facility will help the region's economy grow through more efficient and secure trade and meets one of the points of the Washington” Agreements, the State Department's Twitter reported.
This crossing, as well as four others between Kosovo and Serbia, opened under an agreement reached by Brussels in 2011 between Pristina and Belgrade, which was finalised in Washington's September agreement.
The two sides will open and operation the object at the joint Merdare<x1) border crossing, said at one of the points of the agreement signed at the White House.
